Women in western and Northern Kenya have continued to lag behind due to retrogressive cultural practices such as Wife Inheritance and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) The former has exposed widows to ridicule and promoted the spread of HIV/AIDS within the region whereas the latter has caused girls and women unprecedented pain, agony, loss of esteem, birth complications and even death. We believe in a society where the Women are given equal opportunities and privileges as Men. We endeavor to continue partnering with other Stakeholders in discouraging these retrogressive cultural practices by economically empowering the women.
